Cereal Candy

Ingredients

• 18oz box Golden Grahams
• 6 cups Rice Chex
• 1 cup sugar
• 4 cups mini marshmallows
• 7oz bag of coconut (I toast mine lightly in the oven)
• 3 sticks butter
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 cup sliced almonds (I toast mine lightly in the oven)

if you are alergic to almonds you can substitute it for pecans or walnuts

Directions

1. Mix cereal, nuts, coconut in large bowl.
2. Boil sugar, butter, and marshmallows in saucepan for three minutes.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add vanilla.
5. Pour mixture over cereal mix.
6. Toss lightly until combined.
7.  Cool on waxed paper.
8.  Store covered tightly.

Puppy Chow

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 9 cups chex
• 3/4 cup powder sugar

Directions

1. mix together the first three ingredients in a microwavable bowl.
2. heat for 1 minute.
3. stir, and heat for 30 minutes.
4. stir, and add vanilla
5. put the chex in a 2 gallon bag
6. pour chocolate mixture in the bag
7. mix together in bag
8. add the powder sugar in the bag
9. mix again
